NCB Capital Trading Application

Lead redesign of largest Asset Manager in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia NCB Capital trading applications, web, desktop, and mobile interfaces. Re factored taxonomy and implemented design best practices.

MY ROLE:

Partnered with three project managers and one other lead designer to uncover insights and translate concepts into features that address customer behaviors and motivations.
Defined the product with my project manager partners. I evangelized customer goals and balanced business goals. I prioritized and negotiated features for launch and beyond.

CHALLENGES:

Complex User Needs: Catering to a wide range of users, from beginner traders to experienced investors, with differing levels of familiarity with digital trading platforms.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the design met all financial and data privacy regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia.
Real-Time Data: Displaying real-time data in a way that is visually appealing and easy to understand without overwhelming the user.
Device Compatibility: Creating a responsive design that performed well on desktop and mobile devices.
Unhappy Customer: with Previous Design Deliverables: NCB Capital was dissatisfied with the previous design due to complex navigation, poor usability for beginners, and inconsistent branding, which led to low engagement. To rebuild trust, we redefined the user journey, held feedback workshops, and implemented rapid prototyping for iterative improvements.
Multi-Language Support: Supporting both Arabic (RTL) and English required layout adjustments, accurate localization of financial terminology, and tailored usability testing. We implemented a seamless language toggle and ensured all components adapted dynamically to provide an accessible experience for both language preferences.

THE PROCESS:

Mapped out an end to end site map diagram for major interaction and looked for opportunities for improvements in how user interacts the application features.
